Intermediate Software Developer

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Be responsible for developing and maintaining code at the company. Be actively coding, doing quality control, bug fixes and guiding the whole team on implementing better Engineering practices based on your experience
Closely work with the founders to identify, assess and prioritize development opportunities
Minimum 2 years of experience with JavaScript and has ideally worked with the MERN stack: Mongo/Express/React/Node
Integrate key 3rd party APIs of companies like Cherre, CoStar, Argus, Yardi/MRI and Equifax to enhance our product offering
Work closely with the business team and Finneo clients to seek product feedback and help improve the product further in partnership with other offshore/remote software developers.
GENERAL SKILLS & EXPERIENCE NEEDED
Minimum 2 years of experience delivering high-quality web applications; ideally in the B2B SaaS space
Dev Ops experience will be a plus
Strongly values automated testing and implements good testing practices
Practitioner and evangelist of agile software process and software design
Experience working as a full stack engineer and wants to work full stack moving forward
Experience architecting solutions to problems in a thoughtful way
Experience holding/setting a high bar for excellence - code reviews, architecture design reviews, tdd, pairing, etc.
Experience with presenting technical projects and problems to non-technical folks, able to justify the business reasons
Experience operating in smaller engineering teams (3-5 engineers). “Successful” Start-up Experience is a plus.
Experience delivering cross-platform products (web, mobile, API, etc.)
Degree in Computer Science or other technical degree from a Top Tier University
Currently located in Toronto or willing to relocate. Desire to work from physical offices is a plus as the role needs cross-team collaboration
