
About the Role
Finneo is seeking a driven and entrepreneurial Capital Markets Associate to join its dynamic team focused on debt and structured finance advisory within the commercial real estate sector. This role is ideal for a high-performing professional with 3–5 years of experience in real estate finance, investment banking, or capital markets, who is looking to accelerate their career within a fast-growing, technology-enabled advisory platform.
As a core member of the capital markets team, you will work directly with Finneo’s Founder and CEO, Amar Nijjar—a former EVP and top-producing broker at JLL Capital Markets. This role offers comprehensive exposure to the full transaction lifecycle: from origination and client engagement to structuring, execution, and closing. The Associate will play a pivotal role in sourcing new business, managing lender relationships, and leveraging Finneo’s proprietary data and technology platform to deliver institutional-grade capital solutions to real estate owners, developers, and investment managers.
This is a unique opportunity to gain hands-on mentorship, deal exposure, and market access while developing deep expertise in commercial real estate finance, with a clear path toward leadership in the structured finance advisory space.
Compensation: Base + Bonus
Responsibilities
Originate and Structure Financing Mandates:Lead and support client engagements by identifying, structuring, and presenting commercial real estate debt and equity financing opportunities across asset classes.
Client Management and Relationship Building:Build and nurture strong relationships with real estate developers, property owners, family offices, and origination partners. Act as a trusted advisor and point of contact throughout the financing lifecycle.
Business Development:Proactively generate new business opportunities through outbound calling, email campaigns, and warm outreach. Schedule and participate in pitch meetings alongside Finneo senior leadership.
AI & Technology Integration:Stay ahead of emerging trends in AI and capital markets automation. Leverage Finneo’s proprietary technology platform and AI agents to drive lender matching, underwriting insights, and process efficiencies.
Client Interaction & Execution Support:Attend client meetings, lead follow-ups, prepare detailed action plans, and ensure the successful execution of financing engagements.
Platform Expertise & Demo Delivery:Become an expert in Finneo’s technology/data platform and confidently deliver platform demos to prospective clients and lenders.
Lender Coordination:Manage communications with lenders to support the underwriting, structuring, and closing of transactions. Ensure timely updates, document flow, and alignment of all stakeholders.
Pipeline Management:Track opportunities in the CRM, support reporting functions, and ensure accurate, real-time visibility into deal flow and timelines.
Event Collaboration:Assist in planning and executing client-facing events and webinars in partnership with the Commercial Real Estate Lenders Association (CRELA).
Experience & Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Real Estate, Business Administration, or a related field from a recognized institution.
3–5 years of experience in commercial real estate capital markets, with direct exposure to debt financing, transaction structuring, or underwriting.
Solid understanding of CRE asset classes and strong proficiency in financial modeling and underwriting principles.
Demonstrated success in deal origination or business development, ideally within a brokerage, advisory, or lending environment.
Extremely entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to operate independently, take initiative, and thrive in a fast-paced, high-output environment.
Proven ability to manage multiple mandates simultaneously while maintaining exceptional attention to detail and follow-through.
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills—ability to interface confidently with C-suite executives, institutional lenders, and developers.
Highly organized, accountable, and performance-driven, with experience working within OKR and KPI-based frameworks.
Technologically proficient and quick to adapt to emerging software, CRM tools, and AI applications relevant to the CRE capital markets space.
