About the Role
Finneo is seeking a driven and entrepreneurial Capital Markets Associate to join its dynamic team focused on debt and structured finance advisory within the commercial real estate sector. This role is ideal for a high-performing professional with 3–5 years of experience in real estate finance, investment banking, or capital markets, who is looking to accelerate their career within a fast-growing, technology-enabled advisory platform.
As a core member of the capital markets team, you will work directly with Finneo’s Founder and CEO, Amar Nijjar—a former EVP and top-producing broker at JLL Capital Markets. This role offers comprehensive exposure to the full transaction lifecycle: from origination and client engagement to structuring, execution, and closing. The Associate will play a pivotal role in sourcing new business, managing lender relationships, and leveraging Finneo’s proprietary data and technology platform to deliver institutional-grade capital solutions to real estate owners, developers, and investment managers.
This is a unique opportunity to gain hands-on mentorship, deal exposure, and market access while developing deep expertise in commercial real estate finance, with a clear path toward leadership in the structured finance advisory space.

Responsibilities
Deal Structuring & Underwriting
Conduct rigorous financial analysis, debt sizing, and stress testing across all major CRE asset types using Finneo’s proprietary underwriting tools.
Structure customized capital solutions based on market comps, borrower profiles, and evolving lender appetite.
Draft detailed and lender-ready Offering Memoranda (CIMs/OMs) using Finneo’s automation platform to ensure consistency, clarity, and speed.
Lender Engagement & Capital Markets Execution
Serve as a point of contact for active debt capital relationships across banks, life companies, funds, and alternative lenders in the U.S. and Canada.
Manage the end-to-end lender engagement process: submit deals, coordinate Q&A, negotiate term sheets, and facilitate competitive bidding rounds.
Lead documentation, diligence, and funding processes with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring frictionless execution.
Client & Process Management
Act as a strategic liaison between clients and third-party professionals, including appraisers, legal counsel, and lenders, to ensure deal milestones are met.
Maintain clear internal reporting on pipeline activity, lender engagement, and transaction status through Finneo’s deal management systems.
Support multiple live mandates concurrently, delivering high-quality execution with discipline, urgency, and accountability.

Experience & Qualifications
3–5 years of experience in commercial real estate finance, structured debt placement, investment banking, or capital markets advisory.
Proven ability to analyze, structure, and execute complex real estate transactions across multiple asset classes.
Advanced financial modeling skills with strong proficiency in valuation methodologies and capital stack structuring.
Solid understanding of lender underwriting standards and credit metrics, with experience navigating both institutional and alternative capital sources.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with lenders, clients, and internal stakeholders.
Demonstrated ability to thrive in high-pressure, fast-paced environments with multiple concurrent deals.
Prior experience at a capital markets group, debt advisory platform, brokerage, or investment firm is strongly preferred.
Familiarity with Canadian and U.S. CRE lending markets and active lender networks is a significant asset.
Highly organized, process-oriented, and collaborative, with a team-first mindset aligned to Finneo’s triad execution model.
