
About the Role
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Originate commercial mortgage deal flow through existing network and relationships
Assist the Finneo team to create, edit, and/or prepare debt proposals (CIM’s), Broker Opinion term sheet draw ups, financial underwriting, due diligence, credit investigations, market research, and updates
Take deals from lead generation, to underwriting, to closing (warm leads will also be given through our Go-To-Channel Market Partners (eg. $1.1bn+ in deal flow in the last 11 months)
Work with management and the Finneo team to create and/or improve systems for managing existing and new client leads
Business development through email, phone calls, and client meetings
Assist in the preparation of and/or participate in pitch presentations of all business lines
Assist in the scheduling / planning of client and lender events
Assisting in all marketing efforts including: idea generation all the way to implementation (creating templates to email blast)
GENERAL SKILLS & EXPERIENCE NEEDED
Post-secondary education: MBA or undergraduate degree in Commerce, Economics, Business Administration, Urban Economics, Urban Planning, or Urban Geography
AACI, CFA, or other professional designations are an asset
2-4 years full time professional experience in commercial real estate, investments, lending, or similar experience
Equivalent combination of education and work experience may be considered
Experience in brokerage / transaction environment considered an asset
Expert proficiency with MS Office Suite, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Working knowledge of Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign considered an asset
Strong working knowledge of key themes impacting capital markets and investment real estate
Excellent verbal and written, and interpersonal communication skills
Excellent time management and organizational skills
Proficiency with corporate finance, accounting and/or financial modeling
Knowledge and interest in financial and investment markets
Able to adapt and prioritize, meeting deadlines, in a fast-paced environment
Operate with a sense of urgency, quickly responding to stakeholders
Detail oriented with strong analytical skills
A professional yet personable demeanor
Ability to work well independently with an ability to work collaboratively with others
Must be proactive and take initiative
Must be able to maintain confidentiality, utilize judgement, and work with minimal supervision

Finneo is currently seeking a dynamic individual for the role of a Origination and Deal Runner Specialist to provide reliable, timely, and professional support to the Finneo team. The position entails working closely with management and team members for business development (expanding the current pipeline) and deal running (ie. Underwriting and closing) with each deal you are assigned. The successful candidate will have strong analytical skills, willingness to learn, and require the independent judgment to plan, prioritize, and organize a diverse workload.
