Associate, Capital Markets
Joseph Zhang is an Associate on FINNEO's Capital Markets team, where he focuses on loan originations, financial modelling, underwriting, lender outreach, and transaction execution across a broad range of commercial real estate asset classes throughout the United States and Canada.
Prior to joining FINNEO, Joseph developed a diverse institutional finance and real estate investment background through roles spanning commercial mortgage banking, real estate private equity, institutional investment management, venture capital, and private wealth management. His experience includes commercial real estate underwriting, acquisitions, financial modelling, capital raising, market research, investment analysis, and investor relations.
Joseph has worked on complex commercial real estate financings involving multifamily, hospitality, industrial, office, retail, self-storage, and mixed-use assets, supporting sophisticated capital stacks from initial underwriting through lender presentations, due diligence, negotiations, and closing. His background provides him with a strong understanding of both debt and equity markets, allowing him to structure creative financing solutions for borrowers across a wide range of transaction types.
Before joining FINNEO, Joseph also gained experience with leading institutional organizations including Cardone Capital, Advenir Living, UBS Private Wealth Management, Alex. Brown | Raymond James, and Eoniq.fund, where he built expertise in private equity, investment analysis, capital markets, and institutional underwriting. He also served as both an Analyst and Portfolio Manager with the University of Miami Student Managed Investment Fund, conducting equity research, valuation, portfolio construction, and investment recommendations.
At FINNEO, Joseph combines institutional underwriting experience with FINNEO's technology-enabled capital advisory platform to originate, structure, and execute debt and equity solutions for commercial real estate owners, developers, and investors throughout North America.
Joseph earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from the University of Miami, where he focused on investment analysis, financial modelling, and capital markets.
