Amar Nijjar

Amar is an Engineer by education and holds an MBA in Real Estate & Finance from York University, Toronto. After spending 10 years in Investment banking and Corporate Finance at CIBC, BMO and Royal Bank - Amar was recruited by JLL Canada to start their Debt Capital Markets Group. Prior to launching Finneo, he was Top Producer at JLL Canada (across all business lines) and was promoted to EVP and Practice Lead. He worked closely with JLL REIB (USA) in several key markets including Dallas/Houston/Chicago/NYC etc. Amar has over $15 billion of CRE Debt & Equity transaction experience working both in US and Canada.
In partnership with Colliers and TechStars, Amar put together a fantastic team and is now providing leadership to the Team and helping the team expand into US. Amar is also the Chair of CRELA (Commercial Real Estate Lenders Association) and started a charity Educate to help orphaned kids with disabilities in Lima, Peru. He loves spending time with his family/friends and is a hot yoga/boxing enthusiast and has participated in amateur boxing for charity and fundraising.
